Company Wants To Fill Entire Strip Mall Site On Breckenridge Lane
Norton Healthcare Inc. wants to develop a medical office building at the site of a strip mall that\’s planned to be demolished on Breckenridge Lane, near Dutchmans Lane.
Several Norton competitors already have existing or planned medical facilities near the site, The Courier-Journal reports.

The company plans to apply for a permit from the Metro Board of Zoning Adjustment for a three-story building with 83,000 square feet and nearly 500 parking spaces, the story said. The shopping center currently includes a Visionworks, an Office Depot, Amish Hills Fine Handmade Furniture, a restaurant and a Pep Boys with a detached Chevron station. Norton has a contract to acquire the tract from Keges Realty Co. of Cincinnati and intends to honor the tenants\’ leases but eventually \”everything will have to come down,\” said Emmett Ramser, Norton\’s assistant vice president for facilities management.
The company doesn\’t yet have a firm schedule for developing the building, the story said.
