The Bulleit Distilling Company
Land Design & Development, Inc. provided the land planning, civil engineering, surveying and landscape architecture as well as served as the local planning consultant in charge of agency review and approval for the 269 acre distillery site in Shelby County, Ky. Mr. Young coordinated with team members around the world to help facilitate the planning and engineering approval for Diageo’s new 115 million dollar distillery. Up to now, Diageo – whose brands include Johnnie Walker, Smirnoff, and Guinness – has been a small player in the bourbon sector. Along with Bulleit Bourbon, the facility will distill a number of current and future Diageo bourbon and North American Whiskey brands. The company hopes to start production in late 2016. The distillery will churn out up to 750,000 9-liter cases per year.
