West Broadway Convenience Store Planned

A convenience store with gasoline pumps and a drive-through to pick up food is planned on a currently vacant tract at 1025 W. Broadway.

Shalimar Investments LLC filed a development plan for the project with Metro Planning & Design Services.

The property is already properly zoned for heavy commercial use.

The site plan shows a building with a total of 3,730 square feet of space, on the north side of Broadway between 10th and 11th streets.

The food market is shown with 2,613 square feet and the connecting food-dispensing area on the west end of the building with just over 1,100 square feet of space.

Landscape architect Sarah Beth Sammons, a Shalimar agent, said the food-serve area will offer carryout only, with no on-site dining facilities.   The food-service portion of the project will not have a brand affiliation.

The site is about one-third of an acre and is owned by Stry Lenkoff Co.   The development is subject to a review by metro planners.
